As a recruiter, every now and then you just need to mix it up, to get your recruitive juices flowing again. Sometimes it’s the simplest of things that can offer that flip of the proverbial switch and get you rolling again.
Here are some simple hacks to get you back on track:
- SPRING CLEAN – It’s time to sift through the stack of sticky notes and half-used notepads you’ve got taking up valuable desk space. And mix in a candle or scent that gets your positive juices flowing. You spend more time at work during the week than anywhere else so take the time to spruce the place up a bit. Who knows you may even find something valuable sifting through old notes!
- While you’re cleaning the cube up why not take some time to PERSONALIZE YOUR SPACE. If your company allows for it get a little creative and make your house a home for pete’s sake. It’s amazing how refreshing it can be when your surroundings are tailored to your tastes.
- SPRING FOR SOMETHING NEW! Can you tell spring is clearly on my mind. Ha! But seriously, you sit in your chair and use your headset, EVER-Y DAY. And a good quality headset can be a dream come true. Heck, if your a baller splurge on both, you’ll never regret it, and your arse and ears will love you forever!
- And if all else fails than CHANGE YOUR TUNE(age). Not sure if that’s a word but I like the way it sounds. What do I mean? Music..my friend. Music can set the mood and be a source of inspiration. We all have our favorites so why not fill your cube, or at least one of your ears, with sounds that get you in your happy place!? Just be sure you’re not ruining someone else’s mood (nearby) in doing so if ya know what I mean!
These simple hacks can have you grindin’ again in no time with just a little effort and minimal dollars. But alas, remember…if it were easy it wouldn’t be so damn rewarding, right! Keep grindin my friends. Hope this gives you some options for putting a smile back in your dial!
